Right now my book is listed at #3,813 Free in Kindle Store my hope during this week is to get it into the top 100 Free book for at least one day. Don’t know if that is possible but every download raises the chances for that to happen. The book started at over 200,000 in ranking so there has been some definite positive movement. And that is just with 45 free downloads so you can see it doesn’t take a lot of downloads to make a difference. Probably the competition is much greater the closer one gets to the top but at least the book shows some hope I think.
Downloads and Reviews are the main factors for getting a better listing. You can download the book for free during this week here.
Meanwhile I am chipping away at practicing for my CNA certification test next Monday. The written part consists of 70 multiple choice questions and performing 5 skills such as taking blood pressure, giving bed bath, catheter care, etc. The skills are not that difficult except they have definite steps for each skill and if you miss one or two you get marked down. If you flub up and miss one critical step (like washing hands or not washing the face properly or forgetting to lock the wheels on the wheelchair) you flunk the whole test. Since it costs $110 to take the test that’s an expensive slip-up! Nothing like a little pressure for simple skills.
Needless to say I am practicing every day. Very easy to forget just one tiny thing. But I am getting there and I am hopeful. Even managing to read people’s blood pressure with a bit more accuracy.
When this is all over and done I want to share a delicious Whipped Cream Banana pudding cake I made for my sister Euli’s birthday in February. It was one my mom used to make for her growing up. We couldn’t find her recipe but it’s pretty simple so we put our heads together and came up with a pretty close match. I took pictures with my phone of every step so it will be easy to do the next time. Was super delicious!
Hope you have a wonderful day. Hard to believe it is only a few days till Easter. Certainly didn’t plan that well for doing the book tour during Holy Week. Geesh.
