It’s Friday and that means a nice long weekend ahead. I’m looking forward to it. Decided first though I should get in a little training with Patty. She’s sort of new around here and doesn’t know the ropes as well as she might.
No prob though. I can teach almost anybody.
Started by a little chauffeur service to the store. It was just down the road a few blocks and back. Easy stuff to get her started. She did fine until we got to the store parking lot. She insisted on leaving me and Pudge in the back seat. That’s not cool. More work will need to be done on this.
It was a very cool day and the window was open so we were fine . . . but . . .
She returned with cat food.
Definitely more work on this.
Got back home. Jon has Patty convinced that the only way to get into the garage is to back in. So that delayed our reentry. Once we were home I wanted to get out and find that cat for a little discussion about the store trip – but no. We had to wait for the old back the car in the drive way routine.
It always! Always. (I’ve been watching her) Takes Patty at least 2 to 3 tries to get it in perfectly on her side of the garage. Jon just zips in no prob – but we got a trainee here all round and everything is scaled way back. Eventually we get in the garage and she makes us stay in the car until the garage door is closed. Really? Like we would be going anywhere?
Like I said – lot of training needed here but making a start. I’m going to look up Buddy and see how he managed to get cat food during my first Patty training lesson. I expect he is still asleep on the bed.
