Had a fun weekend at the coast with Jon and with my sister Barb and her husband.
Jon’s dog, Andre met Barb’s dog, Oscar for the first time. Took a bit for them to be pals but once they did it was fine. Because Andre is so big we tend to be more cautious in letting them just meet and greet at the beginning. Andre will tell you a bit about that in his post.
On Saturday we went to the Artober Beerfest in Lincoln City. It was very fun. I had never gone to one before. You got a beer mug with your entrance fee and 5 tickets to try samples of different beers. The first one I tried was too strong, the second was delicious but they ran out, the third one I tried was good. I gave up after that.
What I really like is my beer mug! I plan to drink all sorts of thing from it not just beer.
I finished the ending for the book! Happy days! Now I am back to editing it over from the beginning. Work. Work. Work. I say that but I don’t do it that much. I am excited to have a good solid draft to work with again.
I was planning to have the book out before Christmas but I have been convinced by some book experts that it would be better to have the book take a little more time and have it come out better than rush to print. So – with that said I came up with a publication today for March 19th.
The end of this month the book will go in for what is called a Developmental Edit. This means getting a professional to see just how the book hangs together or doesn’t. Since this is my very first time at publishing fiction I want to jump through all the proper hoops!
